The rise of religio-fascism – the dangerous fusion of radical religion and authoritarian politics – today threatens the livelihood, if not the lives, of atheists, their allies and minority religionists worldwide.
Unlike other literature on atheism, The Atheist’s Survival Guide does not seek to disprove the existence of deities or attack religious beliefs. Instead, it is designed to educate and empower atheists (as well as members of the LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, BIPOC, and other marginalized out-groups whose identities often intersect with atheism) to protect their rights, freedoms, and well-being in the face of growing religious intolerance.
About the Author
Drawing on his background as a sperm to worm autistic atheist, a trained medieval historian specializing in Christian and Jewish relations, an ex-college instructor in Western Civilization and US History, a 20-year cybersecurity expert based in Silicon Valley, and a seasoned global traveler who has explored some of the world's most religiously volatile regions, Martin provides practical guidance to atheists facing the challenges of religio-fascism, offering insights on navigating a landscape where religion and right-wing politics intertwine.
